Biography
John Lutz is an American actor, comedian and screenwriter. He was born on 23 April 1973 in Pipestone, Minnesota. He began his career as a writer-performer with Chicago's ImprovOlympic and The Second City, touring with the latter for three years before joining the writing staff of Saturday Night Live in 2004.
Lutz is best known for playing the recurring character J.D. Lutz on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock (2006–2013). He wrote for Saturday Night Live for seven seasons until 2010 and joined the writing staff of Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2014, where he also performs. His other acting credits include Sisters (2015), Sleepwalk with Me (2012), Friends with Kids (2012), The Good Wife (2009) and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015). He is married to actress Sue Galloway.
