Biography
John McEnroe is an American former professional tennis player and television commentator who has also appeared in films and television series, usually playing himself.
Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, he was ranked world No. 1 in men's singles by the ATP for 170 weeks and in doubles for 269 weeks. After retiring from competition he has worked as a commentator and taken cameo roles in productions including Ocean's Eight (2018), You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008), Anger Management (2003), Mr. Deeds (2002), Jack and Jill (2011), Wimbledon (2004) and the series Only Murders in the Building and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
He appears as himself in the 2026 film The Dink.
