Biography
John Nathan-Turner was an English television producer. He served as the ninth and longest-serving producer of the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who, holding the role from 1980 until the series' cancellation in 1989.
He joined the BBC in the 1960s and first worked on Doctor Who in 1969 as a floor assistant. Nathan-Turner cast Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy as the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Doctors respectively. After the series ended he produced the 1993 charity special Doctor Who: Dimensions in Time.
