Biography
John O'Dea (1908–1972) was an American writer for television series and films. He contributed episodes to adventure and Western programmes in the 1950s and 1960s, including Jungle Jim (1955) and Rescue 8 (1958–1960).
O'Dea wrote for several series of the period, such as The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. (1966–1967), The Iron Horse (1966–1967) and The Big Valley (1967–1969). His work on the spy series Mission: Impossible (1966) included the episode "Operation 'Heart'" in 1967, co-written with Arthur Rowe.
He died in Tijuana, Mexico, on 5 May 1972.
