Biography
John Otway is an English singer-songwriter and occasional actor. Born on 2 October 1952 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, he first gained wider attention in the late 1970s with singles such as 'Really Free', which reached number 27 in the UK chart.
Otway appeared as himself performing in the final episode of the British sitcom The Young Ones (1984). He has also contributed to soundtracks and taken small acting roles in television series including Crossbow (1987–1989) and Super Gran (1987).
