Biography
John Patton Ford is an American film director and screenwriter. He was born on 30 December 1981 in Sumter, South Carolina. He holds an MFA from the American Film Institute.
Ford wrote and directed the feature films Emily the Criminal (2022), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and starred Aubrey Plaza, and How to Make a Killing (2026), starring Glen Powell. For his work on Emily the Criminal, he received the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay.
