Biography
John Philbin is an American actor born on 27 April 1960 in California. He studied acting at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was also a member of the university's surf team.
Philbin is known for roles including Amos in Children of the Corn (1984), Chuck in The Return of the Living Dead (1985), Nathanial in Point Break (1991), and Tom McLaury in Tombstone (1993). An accomplished surfer, he has appeared in surfing-themed films such as North Shore (1987) and has worked as a surf instructor for actors, including on Blue Crush (2002).
