Biography
John Faro PiRoman (10 July 1951 – 11 March 2014) was a Cuban-born American television writer and playwright. He immigrated to the United States in 1961 and graduated from Georgetown University, where he participated in the Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society.
PiRoman wrote one episode of the medical drama series St. Elsewhere (1987). His other television credits include work on the soap opera All My Children (1998–2004), for which he received Writers Guild of America awards in 2001, 2002 and 2004, and episodes of the animated series Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child (1995–1997). He also wrote for PBS's American Playhouse.
As a playwright, his works include Sons of Don Juan, The Palace of Amateurs, Holy Mary and Amerikanski Toileti, produced in regional and off-Broadway theatres. He translated Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard for stage.
