Biography
John Scurti is an American actor. He grew up in Northport, New York, and graduated from Fordham University with a bachelor's degree in fine arts.
Scurti's early film roles include Who's the Man? (1993) and The Ref (1994), the latter alongside Denis Leary. He appeared in numerous television episodes during the 1990s and early 2000s, including Murphy Brown, Sex and the City, Law & Order, Ed and Monk.
In 2004 Leary cast him as Lieutenant Kenneth 'Lou' Shea in the FX series Rescue Me, a role Scurti played across all seven seasons. He also received story and writing credits on several episodes of the series. Other credits include War of the Worlds (2005), House (2004), The Irishman (2019) and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–2023).
