Biography
John Simmons is an American cinematographer. He studied fine art at Fisk University and cinematography at the University of Southern California.
He began working in documentaries in the early 1970s and later moved into music videos, commercials, features and television. Simmons has served as director of photography on The Mighty Boosh (2004), iCarly (2021) and The Thundermans Return (2024). He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and has won Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on multi-camera series.
