Biography
John Steadman was an American actor. He worked for three decades in radio as a writer, producer, announcer and editor before beginning an acting career in 1970. His final roles were in 1987.
Steadman appeared in numerous films and television series, usually in supporting or bit parts. He is known for his performances as Pop in The Longest Yard (1974), Fred in The Hills Have Eyes (1977), and roles in White Lightning (1973), Emperor of the North (1973), Family Plot (1976) and The Frisco Kid (1979). He died in 1993.
