Biography
John Stockwell is an American actor and filmmaker. Born on 25 March 1961 in Galveston, Texas, he began his career as an international model in Italy. He later attended Harvard University and made his feature film debut in a small role in So Fine (1981).
His early acting roles included Christine (1983) as Dennis Guilder and Top Gun (1986) as Cougar. Stockwell went on to direct and write several films, including Crazy/Beautiful (2001), Blue Crush (2002), Into the Blue (2005) and Turistas (2006). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for writing the television film Cheaters (2000).
