Biography
Jon Brittain is a British playwright, comedy writer and director. Born in May 1987 in Chester, he grew up in the Netherlands and graduated with a BA from the University of East Anglia in 2008.
His play Rotterdam premiered at Theatre503 in 2015 and won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre in 2017. He co-created the stage show Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho and has directed comedy performances including the original stage production of Baby Reindeer. On television, he wrote for season 2 of The Amazing World of Gumball (2013), served as staff writer on The Crown, and was head writer and co-executive producer on The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin (2024).
