Biography
Jon Erwin is an American director, screenwriter and producer who often collaborates with his brother Andrew as the Erwin Brothers. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on 19 May 1982, he began his career as a teenager working as a sports cameraman for ESPN, covering college and professional games, before the brothers founded a production company in 2002 focused on commercials, documentaries and music videos.
The Erwin Brothers are known for faith-based feature films including October Baby (2011), Woodlawn (2015), I Can Only Imagine (2018), I Still Believe (2020), American Underdog (2021) and Jesus Revolution (2023). Erwin created, wrote and directed the Prime Video biblical series House of David (2025), a project he conceived as a teenager after visiting Israel. He co-founded Kingdom Story Company, where he serves as CEO.
