Biography
Jon Hopkins is an English electronic musician, producer and composer. He began his career playing keyboards for Imogen Heap and has contributed to albums by Brian Eno, Coldplay and others. He trained in piano at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music from the age of 12.
Hopkins composed the soundtrack for the 2010 film Monsters, his first solo feature score, which was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for Best Original Score. He has also scored How I Live Now (2013) and uwantme2killhim? (2013), and provided music for National Theatre Live: Hamlet (2015). His albums include Insides (2009) and Immunity (2013), both nominated for the Mercury Prize.
