Biography
Jonathan Forbes is an Irish actor born on 4 December 1976 in Dublin. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2001 as a BBC Carleton Hobbs Award winner.
Forbes played the lead in the 2001 film Conspiracy of Silence, for which he received an Irish Film and Television Award nomination for Best Newcomer. His television credits include Hornblower: Loyalty (2003) as Midshipman Charles Orrock, Foyle's War (2002) as Johann Schultz, Black Mirror (2011) as Browne, Catastrophe (2015–2019) as Fergal, and Clique (2017) as Jay Galatas. He has also worked extensively in theatre, including productions at the RSC and the Royal National Theatre, and provided voice work for Thomas & Friends.
