Biography
Jonathan Goldsmith is a Canadian composer, arranger and music producer. Active since the early 1980s, he has written music for more than a hundred film and television productions.
His film scores include Visiting Hours (1982), Away from Her (2007), Casino Jack (2010), Take This Waltz (2011) and Stories We Tell (2012). Television work includes the miniseries Titanic and Sex Traffic. He has won four Gemini Awards, four Canadian Screen Awards and a BAFTA TV Award for Best Original Television Music.
Goldsmith is a founding member of the Art of Time Ensemble and a member of the band Nick Buzz. He began his career as a record producer and has produced albums for artists including Bruce Cockburn, Jane Siberry and Sarah Slean.
