Biography
Jonathan Keeling is a British television producer and director specialising in natural history programming. He has worked at the BBC Natural History Unit since 1996, contributing as a researcher, assistant producer, producer and executive producer on landmark series.
His credits include producer on Planet Earth (2006) and Planet Earth II (2016), and executive producer on the BAFTA and Emmy award-winning Seven Worlds, One Planet (2019). He served as head of the Children’s Natural History Unit for seven years, overseeing series such as Deadly 60 and Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures. Keeling was appointed head of the BBC Natural History Unit in 2021.
He holds a zoology degree from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of Bristol.
