Biography
Jordan Charles Vogt-Roberts is an American film and television director. Born on 22 September 1984 in Detroit, Michigan, he graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2006.
His feature directorial debut was the coming-of-age comedy The Kings of Summer (2013), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, and won the Narrative Feature Audience Award at the Dallas International Film Festival. He had previously written and directed the short film Successful Alcoholics (2010), which screened at Sundance and SXSW.
Vogt-Roberts directed episodes of the FX series You're the Worst (2014), as well as Death Valley (2011) and Comedy Central's Mash Up. In 2017 he directed the MonsterVerse film Kong: Skull Island.
