Biography
Jordi Dauder i Guardiola was a Spanish actor. Born in Badalona, Barcelona, he studied arts at the University of Barcelona and history at the University of Paris after emigrating for political reasons. He began working in theatre and later appeared in numerous films, television series and stage productions from the 1980s onwards.
Dauder played Salas in Ken Loach’s Land and Freedom (1995). He is also known for roles in The Nameless (1999), The Weakness of the Bolshevik (2003), Camino (2008) as Don Luis, The Monk (2011) and the television series Paco’s Men. He received the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor for Camino and the Creu de Sant Jordi in 2008. Dauder also worked as a voice actor, dubbing international films into Spanish and Catalan.
He died in Madrid on 16 September 2011.
