Biography
Jorge Julião is a Brazilian actor and theatre director. He is best known for his role as Lilica in the 1980 film Pixote, directed by Héctor Babenco.
Julião began working in theatre in 1977. At the time of Pixote, he was a theatre actor studying psychology. He later appeared in the television mini-series Moinhos de Vento (1983) as Antônio Mário and the short film Aurora (1987). He received the APCA award for best newcomer actor for Pixote in 1980.
Since the late 1990s, Julião has coordinated the Grupo Teatral Rádio Ilusão, a theatre group for mature actors, and has worked as a teacher and director of theatre productions.
