Biography
Jorja Curtright was an American actress who appeared in films and on television from the 1940s to the 1960s. Born in Amarillo, Texas, she trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and began her career on stage, including a Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire in 1950.
Her film roles included parts in Hitler's Madman (1943), Whistle Stop (1946), Heaven Only Knows (1947), M (1951) as Mrs. Stewart, Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing (1955) as Suzanne, and The Revolt of Mamie Stover (1956). She also made guest appearances in series such as Perry Mason, Bonanza and I Dream of Jeannie (1965) as Madame Zolta.
In 1951 she married novelist and producer Sidney Sheldon; they had one daughter. After her acting career she worked as an interior designer.
