Biography
Josann McGibbon is an American screenwriter. She worked in partnership with Sara Parriott from 1986 to 2019, one of the longest-running writing teams in Hollywood.
Their credits include the feature films Worth Winning (1989), The Favor (1994), Three Men and a Little Lady (1990) and Runaway Bride (1999). They wrote episodes of Desperate Housewives in 2010–2011 and co-wrote and produced the miniseries The Starter Wife (2007), which received multiple Emmy nominations. McGibbon and Parriott created the Descendants franchise for Disney Channel, writing the first film (2015) and its sequels Descendants 2 (2017) and Descendants 3 (2019); they won a Writers Guild of America Award for the original Descendants.
