Biography
José Villasante (1913–1990) was a Spanish actor who appeared in nearly one hundred films and television productions between the 1940s and 1980s. Born in Madrid on 19 March 1913, he worked primarily as a supporting actor and occasionally in camera or production roles.
He is credited as the Frankenstein monster in Víctor Erice’s The Spirit of the Beehive (1973). Other screen credits include Strange Voyage (1964), La ciudad no es para mí (1966) and Robbery at 3 O'clock (1962). On television he appeared in series such as Crónicas de un pueblo, Cañas y barro (1978) and Ramón y Cajal (1982).
