Biography
Joseph F. Kosala (1946–2015) was an American actor and retired Chicago police sergeant. He appeared in several films, frequently portraying law enforcement officers, and worked as a technical advisor on early projects directed by Andrew Davis.
Kosala is best known for playing Detective Rosetti in The Fugitive (1993). His other film credits include Code of Silence (1985), Above the Law (1988), Under Siege (1992), Primal Fear (1996) and Chain Reaction (1996). He also had small roles in television series such as ER (1999) and Early Edition (1999).
A Chicago native, Kosala served 34 years with the Chicago Police Department before retiring in 2006. He collaborated on multiple films with director Andrew Davis.
