Biography
Joseph Momo was a Cameroonian-French actor and singer. Born in Baleveng, Cameroon, he moved to Paris in 1971 and began appearing in French films from the late 1970s.
His screen credits include Le Crabe-Tambour (1977), L'État sauvage (1978), L'Africain (1983), Dog Day (1984), Diên Biên Phu (1992), La Haine (1995) as the Ordinary Man, and Clando (1996). He also released several albums of Afro-disco and boogie music with the group Podem in the 1970s and 1980s.
Momo died in Paris on 7 October 2022.
