Biography
Joshua 'Li'iBoy' Shintani was an American actor. He appeared as Li'iBoy in the 2001 comedy film Shallow Hal, directed by the Farrelly brothers and starring Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow. In the role he performed the song "Never Forget Where I'm From" on ukulele.
Shintani was born on 24 June 1983 in Oahu, Hawaii. While a high school senior, he was discovered by co-director Peter Farrelly playing the ukulele outside a public library in Hawaii. He was flown to Los Angeles for a screen test and cast in the part. Shallow Hal was his only feature film credit. Shintani died on 25 November 2015 in Kauai, Hawaii.
