Biography
Jouji Furuta is a Japanese animation director. He has worked under the names Takeshi Furuta and Jôji Furuta, and is credited on numerous anime series and films.
Early in his career he was associated with the Sunrise studio. He served as episode director on Haikyu!! (2014) and directed The Comic Artist and His Assistants (2014). Subsequent directing credits include Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold (2015), The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments (2018), Double Decker! Doug & Kirill (2018) and Shaman King (2021). He has also contributed storyboards and scripts to several projects.
