Biography

Joyce Jameson was an American actress. She was born Joyce Beverly Kingsley on 26 September 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She began her career in the early 1950s with uncredited film roles, including a chorus girl in Show Boat (1951).

Jameson appeared as The Blonde in Billy Wilder's The Apartment (1960). Her other film credits include Tales of Terror (1962) as Annabel Herringbone, The Comedy of Terrors (1964), Death Race 2000 (1975) as Grace Pander, The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) as Rose and Every Which Way but Loose (1978) as Sybil. On television she had recurring guest roles as Skippy, one of the "fun girls", in The Andy Griffith Show and appeared in episodes of The Twilight Zone, Hogan's Heroes, Charlie's Angels and The Love Boat.

She was married to songwriter Billy Barnes from 1952 to 1957 and they had one child.
