Biography
Julia Hart is an American filmmaker and writer. She began her career as a high school English teacher before turning to screenwriting and directing.
Her feature directorial debut was the comedy drama Miss Stevens (2016). She has since written and directed Fast Color (2018), Stargirl (2020), I'm Your Woman (2020) and Hollywood Stargirl (2022). She directed and co-wrote the screenplay for Don't Say Good Luck (2026).
Hart frequently collaborates with her husband, producer and writer Jordan Horowitz. She is the daughter of screenwriter James V. Hart.
