Biography
Julia Lang (c. 1921 – 1 April 2010) was a British actress and radio presenter. Born in London, she appeared in several films in the late 1940s, including The Red Shoes (1948) as a balletomane and Under Capricorn (1949) as Susan.
She is best known for presenting the BBC radio programme Listen with Mother, which began in 1950. Lang coined the programme's opening phrase, 'Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin,' as an ad-lib.
