Biography
Julia Lerman is a writer and director. She has contributed to television series including Wonder Man (2026), on which she served as writer and executive story editor, and Mr. Corman (2021), on which she was a staff writer.
Lerman is a graduate of Wesleyan University. She began her career in New York City, working on programmes such as MTV’s True Life and Showtime’s This American Life. With Roja Gashtili she has co-written shorts including Rita Mahtoubian Is Not a Terrorist (2015) and The Last Shift (2015), and their projects have been selected for Film Independent’s Directing Lab, the Sundance Creative Producing Labs, the Tribeca/Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program and AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women.
