Biography

Julia Maria Ragnarsson is a Swedish actress. Born in Malmö in 1992, she is the daughter of actor Lars-Göran Ragnarsson and stage director and scenographer Karin Ragnarsson. She studied on the theatre line at Heleneholms gymnasium in Malmö from 2008 to 2011 and began acting as a child.

Ragnarsson first appeared on screen aged ten in the 2003 film Tur & retur. Her early credits include roles in Wallander (2006, 2008) and Everlasting Moments (2008). She played Laura in the second season of The Bridge (2013) and received the Rising Star award at the Stockholm International Film Festival in 2014. Later roles include Olivia Rönning in the series Springfloden (2016–2018) and Bea Farkas in Fartblinda (2019–). In 2019 she appeared as Inga in the film Midsommar.
