Biography
Julia Sutton (7 December 1938 – 30 March 2026) was an English actress and singer. She appeared in the film Half a Sixpence (1967) and on television in Albert and Victoria (1971), Upstairs, Downstairs (1974) as Dorothy Mathews, Dixon of Dock Green, Father Brown and the dystopian series 1990 (1977). She made numerous appearances on BBC's The Good Old Days.
Sutton performed in West End stage productions including Oliver!, La Cage aux Folles, Martin Guerre (1995), Mary Poppins (2004–05) and Sister Act the Musical at the London Palladium. She was married to dancer Don Vernon.
