Biography
Julian Higgins is an American director, writer and producer. Born on 28 December 1985 in New Hampshire, he holds a BFA in Film from Emerson College and an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute, where he also teaches.
He began with award-winning short films, including Thief (2010), which received a Student Academy Award, and Winter Light (2015), an Oscar shortlist finalist. His television directing debut came with one episode of the series House (2012). He later directed multiple episodes of Guidance (2016–2017) and served as writer on Banshee: Origins (2013).
Higgins made his feature debut with the neo-Western God's Country (2022), which he wrote and directed. He is based in Los Angeles.
