Biography

Julian Holloway (24 June 1944 – 16 February 2025) was an English actor. He was the son of actor and singer Stanley Holloway and Violet Lane. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made his West End debut in 1963.

Holloway appeared in eight Carry On films beginning with Follow That Camel (1967). His screen credits include Wolsley in The Rum Diary (2011) and Alan Boyle in Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1973). He worked extensively in television, including Doctor Who and The Sweeney, and later established a career in voice acting, with roles in Regular Show and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In 1993 he appeared on Broadway in a revival of My Fair Lady. He was the father of Sophie Dahl.
