Biography
Julian Krainin (born 24 January 1941) is an American film and television producer, director, cinematographer and writer. He began his career in the 1960s with documentaries, including The March (1965), a record of the Selma to Montgomery civil rights march, and later produced Princeton: A Search for Answers (1974), for which he shared an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject.
Krainin produced the 1992 PBS American Experience episode "The Quiz Show Scandal", drawing on interviews with participants in the 1950s television quiz show controversies. He served as one of the producers on the 1994 feature film Quiz Show, directed by Robert Redford, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. His other credits include the television films George Wallace (1997) and Something the Lord Made (2004).
