Biography
Julian Ovenden is an English actor and singer. He was born in Sheffield on 29 November 1976 and trained at New College, Oxford on a choral scholarship before studying at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
He has appeared in British and American television series including Downton Abbey (2013–2014) as Charles Blake, Bridgerton (2020) as Sir Henry Granville, The Crown (2017) as Bobby Kennedy and Trigger Point (2022–) as Commander John Francis. His stage work includes productions in the West End and on Broadway. He is married to opera singer Kate Royal.
