Biography
Julian Wastall was a British composer who worked in film and television. He contributed music to Mike Leigh's Life Is Sweet (1991), co-composing the song 'Happy Holidays' with Rachel Portman.
His other credits include the television films The Lost Language of Cranes (1991) and This Boy's Story (1992), as well as episodes of the series Cracker (1993). He also composed for Unmasked Part 25 (1988) and provided theme music for the Channel 4 series Out On Tuesday (as Jules Wastall). In 1992 he shared a BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Original Music, for Friday on My Mind.
Wastall died on 11 January 1994.
