Biography
Julie Parker Benello is a film producer. She co-founded Chicken & Egg Pictures in 2005 and is the founder of Secret Sauce Media. She has worked as a producer and executive producer on numerous documentary and narrative features, often supporting projects by women filmmakers.
She produced American Factory (2019), which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, and Athlete A (2020). Other credits include Honeymoon (2014), The Invitation (2015), Swallow (2020) and Sell/Buy/Date (2022). Earlier in her career she co-produced Blue Vinyl and worked as a production executive and archival researcher.
Benello is based in San Francisco. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Documentary Branch and the Producers Guild of America.
