Biography
Julien Guiomar was a French actor. Born on 3 May 1928 in Morlaix, Finistère, he trained at the Théâtre national populaire under Jean Vilar and began his career in theatre in 1952 before moving into television and film from the mid-1960s.
He appeared in numerous films, often in authoritative or comic roles. Notable credits include the Gendarmerie Colonel in Z (1969), Jacques Tricatel in The Wing or the Thigh? (1976), Colonel Vincent in Gramps Is in the Resistance (1983), and Commissioner Bloret in My New Partner (1984). He also provided the voice of Devin in Asterix and the Big Fight (1989). Guiomar retired in the mid-2000s and died on 22 November 2010 in Agen.
