Biography
Jun Shishido (宍戸 淳) is a Japanese anime director born on 8 November 1976 in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture.
After joining the animation production company Imagine, he made his directorial debut in 2001 with episode 12 of Hajime no Ippo. He later moved to Madhouse and has worked as a freelancer.
His directing credits include The Story of Saiunkoku (2006–2008), Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger (2009), The Princess and the Pilot (2011), To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts (2019) and chief unit director duties on Attack on Titan: The Final Season (2020–2023). He has also contributed to Yuri!!! on Ice (2016) and other series.
