Biography
Justin Spitzer is an American television writer, producer and showrunner. He graduated from the Northwestern University School of Communication in 1999 and began his career as a writers' assistant on Grounded for Life and Queer as Folk.
He wrote for Scrubs and Courting Alex before joining the writing staff of The Office (2005) in 2007, where he contributed eleven episodes and rose to co-executive producer. Spitzer created the NBC sitcom Superstore (2015), serving as executive producer and showrunner for its first three seasons. He later created American Auto (2021) and co-created St. Denis Medical (2024). He has been married to producer and writer Jenna Bans since 2007.
