Biography
Kabir Bedi is an Indian actor whose career has spanned Indian cinema, European television and Hollywood films and series. Born on 16 January 1946 in Lahore, then in British India, he began in Indian theatre before moving into Hindi films in the early 1970s.
He gained international recognition playing the title role in the Italian television series Sandokan (1976), which made him a star across Europe. Bedi is also known for his performance as Gobinda in the James Bond film Octopussy (1983). He has appeared in numerous Indian films, including Khoon Bhari Maang (1988) and Main Hoon Na (2004), as well as television series such as Dynasty and Knight Rider. Bedi was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
