Biography
Kalyanee Mam is a Cambodian-American filmmaker, cinematographer and producer. Born in Battambang, Cambodia, she resettled in the United States with her family in 1981. She graduated from Yale University and UCLA School of Law.
Mam worked as cinematographer, associate producer and researcher on the 2010 documentary Inside Job, directed by Charles Ferguson. She is best known for directing and producing the 2013 documentary A River Changes Course, which won the Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival and the Golden Gate Award for Best Documentary Feature at the San Francisco International Film Festival. Her other credits include the short Between Earth & Sky (2009) and later shorts such as Lost World (2018).
