Biography
Kane Mahon is a Canadian actor of Afghan origin. He is credited with voice roles including the Optician, Kiln Owner Talib and Crowd Voices in the 2017 animated film The Breadwinner, directed by Nora Twomey. He also appeared in the 2017 television series Taken as Mossad Tourist #1 and had a recurring role as Mikham Candahar in the Amazon series Patriot (2015–2017).
Born in Afghanistan, Mahon moved with his family to Tajikistan in 1993. He completed a master’s degree in international relations there before immigrating to Canada. He trained at the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto and has received a Canadian Screen Awards nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Program or Series Produced for Digital Media for his work in the web series Petrol. Other credits include the 2019 film The Cuban as Atesh. He is fluent in English, Russian and Dari.
