Biography
Kano, born Kane Brett Robinson on 21 May 1985 in East Ham, London, is a British rapper, songwriter and actor. He is regarded as a pioneer of grime music alongside Wiley and Dizzee Rascal.
His fifth studio album, Made in the Manor (2016), was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the MOBO Awards. He has also released Hoodies All Summer (2019).
On screen, Robinson is best known for playing Sully in the Channel 4 and Netflix series Top Boy (2011–2023). His other acting credits include the film Tower Block (2012) as Mark and the Netflix film The Kitchen (2023) as Izi.
