Biography
Kaoru Matsuzaki is a Japanese film producer. She has frequently collaborated with director Hirokazu Kore-eda, serving as producer on several of his features.
Her credits include Like Father, Like Son (2013), Our Little Sister (2015), After the Storm (2016), The Third Murder (2017) and Shoplifters (2018). She is also producer on the forthcoming Sheep in the Box (2026). Earlier work encompasses Norwegian Wood (2010), on which she was associate producer, and other titles such as Thermae Romae (2012).
Matsuzaki received a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language for Shoplifters, and has additional award nominations and wins associated with her productions.
