Biography
Kara Lindstrom is a production designer, set decorator and art director. She began her career in the art department and as an assistant property master on films including A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and Heathers (1989). She later worked as set decorator on titles such as Strange Days (1995) and In the Line of Fire (1993).
Lindstrom has served as production designer on numerous features, among them Dear John (2010), Safe Haven (2013), Den of Thieves (2018), The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021), Prey (2022) and Nyad (2023). She has also written for film and television, receiving an Emmy nomination in that capacity, and published the novel Sparkle Life in 2006. She lives in Victoria, British Columbia.
