Biography
Karen Heward was a British film and television editor. She worked as an editor on eleven episodes of the series The Avengers (1968–1969) and as music editor on thirty-five episodes (1967–1968).
She began in post-production in the late 1950s, with early credits including uncredited assistant roles on Seven Days from Now (1957), A Taste of Honey (1961) and The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (1962). She served as assistant editor on The Black Torment (1964) and Repulsion (1965), and later as dubbing editor on An Elephant Called Slowly (1970).
Heward was born in 1937 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, and died on 4 August 2019 in King's Lynn, Norfolk. She was the daughter of composer Leslie Heward.
